These are the latest in a series of bold color experiments. Paintings are done on gesso boards that have cradled sides which are one-and-a-half to two inches deep. Sides of the panels are painted with the same whimsical spirit as the images. I sometimes use canvases with deep, wrapped edges; again, painting the edges of the canvases with free-spirited whimsy and happy color. My imagery comes primarily from things found in the kitchen. I am working from thoughts and memory. My interest is in composition, color, and the play of paint across the surface.
